Hello! My name is Anna (she/her/hers) and I am a clinical social worker. I received my Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston College and my undergraduate degree in Health & Counseling from Emmanuel College in Boston. I have interned and worked in various behavioral health settings, all of which have helped me develop my approach to therapy. I've previously worked at Boston Children's Hospital, Walden Behavioral Care, and have interned at a middle school delivering school based therapy services. I also currently work at the MGH Charlestown Health Center as a clinical social worker on the child & family behavioral health team.
I pull from several therapeutic approaches, and tailor my approach to each individual and/or family. Some of the approaches that I pull from include Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and for youth, Play Therapy.
As a strong believer in the power of therapy, I believe the greatest strength in this process is you. The knowledge, emotional experiences, and values that you bring to the therapeutic space is what allows this process to unfold.
In my free time, I enjoy rooting for all the Boston teams (Go Pats!), spending time in nature (especially the beach), and exploring the city.
Community Focus
I have been grateful to work within the Charlestown community. The strength of this community has always inspired me and I have deep appreciation for the resilience within this community. Whether you are a fourth generation Charlestown local, recently moved to Boston, or have never visited Charlestown before, everyone should have access to care that is rooted in the community you live in. Exploring new opportunities or resources in the community can sometimes be an important part of the therapeutic process.
